The Learning Institute for Technology Education (LITE) has launched a new organization, MTEEA, in order to better promote technology and engineering education. MTEEA is the Michigan Technology & Engineering Educators Association.
The Learning Institute for Technology Education was established in 1993, and served as a leader in providing educators the tools and resources for implementing Design and Technology in their programs.
It was the dream of Dr. Harry Padelford to give all K-12 teachers the support and guidance to provide students learning opportunities in the context of solving real problems with the design and technology process.
MTEEA will continue and expand on that vision under its new name and direction.
